The Boudoir chair
The idea for this chair came from the exhibition of Louise Bourgeois that I went to see in Tate Modern. Whilst looking at her work I kept thinking to myself: “How did she make it???????”
So I wanted to create a chair that will raise the same question: how was it made? Working with Yasemen Hussein (www.yasemenhussein.com) who amongst other beautiful things, sculptures copper feathers, we created The Boudoir chair where the hard copper feather is woven through the soft upholstery making it a sculpture and a functional piece of furniture at the same time.
